Giving Levels of Impact
Hearing Smile: $1 - $99
For as little as a few dollars, you can help bring a HEARING SMILE to a child’s face which is priceless. The money allows us to buy supplies including hearing aid batteries to help maintain hearing health care and the hearing aids.
HUMAN CONNECTION: $100 - $500
Being able to hear better helps people CONNECT with their community and kids CONNECT in school and the community. For as little as $100 you can help us screen, check, and clean 100 ears of children and adults.
COMPASSION - $500 - $999
Many people have no access to hearing health care, your COMPASSION allows us to purchase more portable testing and cleaning equipment to help more people.
DIGNITY - $1,000 - $4,999
Hearing loss can be embarrassing and cause people to isolate themselves. For this giving level, you can help 10 people be fitted and receive the hearing aids they so desperately need and return their DIGNITY.
HUMANITY - $5,000 +
It’s easy to do a one-time mission trip. It’s harder to create sustainability to better help HUMANITY. With this donation, you help us train local people to maintain and care for hearing aids as well as identify people who need help on the ground by working to establish permanent clinics
Story of Impact
We saw this little girl when we were in Guatemala. She was 11 years old. She had a bead in her ear that had been there since she was a little tiny toddler. She used to complain of her ear hurting every night when she went to bed. It was just a little plastic bead that had been there for nine years. It's that crazy, hard to imagine," says Dr. Kamal Elliot.
Thousands go without basic hearing health care which impacts lives. Kids are unable to go to school, learn and make friends while adult isolate themselves for fear of embarrassment and safety reasons.
With your help, "Hearing the Call" can return to Guatemala to give kids and adults a chance to realize their potential. With support from people like you last year, "Hearing the Call" screened more than a thousand people mostly kids in Panajachel, Guatemala. Dozens received hearing aids improving their hearing while others got the chance to hear for the first time. "We always talk about the hearing smile and so fun to see the joy on people's face and see the surprise when they find they have hearing potential," says Randa Mansour-Shousher, Au.D.
Now, there has never been a better opportunity to make your gift count and give the gift of a hearing smile.
With audiologists and volunteers from around the country, we have the opportunity to change the trajectory of people’s lives. But we need your help! Please give today and if you are interested in volunteering for future trips, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Together we can give the Hearing Smile to hundreds of children who deserve a chance to thrive and achieve.
